I started this project in the fall and then the weather got too cold to finish it. Spray painting has to be done above 50 degrees…don’t know why, but that’s what it says on the can. Being intimidated by the can’s authority, I obeyed and put it off until things warmed up again. Finally got a break in our cold Chicago winter yesterday and today, so took advantage and finished the job. We’re pretty happy with the results.
I was inspired by this pic, but knowing good and well that those chairs probably start in the neighborhood of a few hundred dollars apiece, I opted to cruise Craigslist and rounded up a full set for $60. Add about $20 in primer & paint and we have as close to the inspiration piece as I need to get in order to be satisfied.
